JM Glendinning was established over 40 years ago as a local family-run insurance broker in Guiseley. Today, the group is a Top 75 UK insurance broker with a team of over 100 staff offering commercial and private insurance, financial and health and safety services from headquarters in Guiseley, as well as offices in Sheffield, York, Newcastle and Scarborough.
The firm’s success is founded on finding the best people and building the business around them, which makes attracting and retaining staff critical to its growth strategy.
Our appointment in 2015 coincided with plans for the firm to double in size over five years, and our brief remains to raise JM Glendinning’s regional profile to help the business attract staff and customers.
The campaign focuses on profiling JM Glendinning in the region as a forward thinking, successful, growing business through a mix of corporate news stories, profile pieces, comment and interview opportunities in key media. Regional ‘best employer’ award entries also feature in the programme.
The campaign has delivered extensive media exposure throughout the region, profiling JM Glendinning's growth and success. This in turn has resulted in enquiries from prospective staff and customers, as well as giving the management team the ear of their local MP. January 2016 saw the firm shortlisted as Employer of the Year in TheBusinessDesk Business Masters annual awards.
Managing director Nick Houghton says, “Making sure that people understand our values, ethos and approach is critical to attracting the right people to the business, and the work that the Partners team is doing to help raise our regional profile has been a huge success.
“Working with Partners has significantly raised our profile in Yorkshire, as well as opening doors and creating opportunities for the business. The news stories they deliver combined with the comment and profile opportunities they actively seek out for us are delivering fantastic results.”
