Social media essentials for Women in Property

The Brief

The Association of Women in Property is a national network that seeks to redress the imbalance of women working in the UK property and construction, by providing a dynamic forum for women in these professions and encouraging and nurturing aspiring talent.

The association has 12 branches and over 1000 members throughout the UK, and runs more than 300 events each year.

Members of the Yorkshire association approached Partners director Monica Green, who sits on the regional committee, to request a guide to social media that would help members better understand the different platforms and understand if and how social media could be of benefit to them and to their firms.

The Campaign

We ran a two-hour, interactive Social Media Essentials breakfast workshop, which provided an overview of the main social networking platforms, focusing in on those that are most relevant to B2B audiences and to the property industry.

The session combined information, advice and lively discussion with practical guides to using the most relevant social networks.

The Results

Delegates said the session gave them a much better understanding of key platforms, and really helped them evaluate whether or not social networking could be of value to them in their current roles.

We have since delivered LinkedIn training via a series of webinars for more than 100 Women in Property members.
