York St John University Business School was established in 2008 and has gained a reputation in the sector for business support - in particular its Acorns programme for start-up businesses.
Our original remit was to raise the profile of the Business School profile and key staff, and position the wide-ranging support it offers to businesses at all levels across Yorkshire.
In summer 2013, that brief extended university-wide to encompass the whole of the university's business engagement activity.
Our ongoing media relations campaign combines news with article, profile, comment and interview opportunities within local and regional business media.
The campaign has delivered significant returns, attracting course and workshop participants, helping to put the Business School on the regional map and - in particular – raising the profile of the dean within the regional business community.
Feedback has shown the Business School becoming increasingly recognised for the calibre of guest speakers it attracts for its events programme alongside greater awareness of its team in the regional business community.
