york designers call 'time' on old logo

York marketing and communications company, The Partners Group, has served up a brand new image to Suddaby's Crown Hotel and Malton Brewery.

Partners has already applied the new identity to bottle labels, stationery, pump clips and exterior hotel signage and with the possibility of supplying to major supermarket chains, the new design may be seen the length and breath of the country.

Neil Suddaby, son of one of Malton Brewery's founders, Bob Suddaby, said, "Partners have done a great job and we are all thrilled with the new look. They have managed to capture perfectly the identity of the brewery and hotel and incorporate the traditions of the area in a fresh and modern approach."

Designer, Darren Willis, 36, from Huntington, designed the new identity. Darren said, "Designing a new identity for a company with as much tradition as Suddaby's was a challenge, but by listening to the company's ideas and understanding its position, I was able to incorporate several different elements in one design."

The circular design, features the crown of the Crown Hotel where the brewery is based, the white rose of Yorkshire, a race horse as many of the products have a racing theme and three traditional kegs of ale.
