York marketing agency The Partners Group has taken up the challenge set by York City Football Club to design a new club badge.

Head designer and York City supporter Darren Willis explains: "The design features the club's previous images of a lion and the City walls but in a more modern and eye-catching style. A large stylised 'Y' has been incorporated into the lion's mane and we've moved back to the more traditional red, white and blue colours of the old logo."

Darren adds: "We've tried to design the elements in a way that will make the players and fans alike, proud to wear the club badge. As a York-based consultancy we are pleased to offer our input and professional support to help York City Football Club in its next exciting stage of development."
