Two new business wins at a York marketing communications consultancy are providing the team with plenty of food for thought.

The Partners Group has extended its portfolio of clients in the food sector with a business-to-business contract to raise the national profile of an Italian foods supplier and a European press campaign for an expanding global food coatings manufacturer.

The firm has established a track record in the food sector through its work with national equipment, meals and ingredients manufacturers in the processing and food service sectors.

The European food coatings campaign comes as a direct result of The Partners Group's appointment as sole UK representative of International Public Relations Team (IPRTeam) in 2002. IPRTeam is an international PR practitioners' consortium established to meet the specific needs of small to medium sized businesses seeking to enter new international markets.

Account director, Karen Tinkler, says, "The IPRTeam set up allows a client organisation to work with an agency in its home country, who will then liaise with international partners on their behalf to develop and implement a marketing campaign.

"Each IPRTeam partner has a real insight into the economic, political and media situation in their own country, giving us access to local knowledge worldwide, upon which we can draw to plan and run effective marketing campaigns for our clients. We are currently drawing on our partners' knowledge of the European food industry to help raise the profile of our client across Europe."

The Partners Group's core client base comprises small to medium sized businesses operating in the food, manufacturing, construction, professional services and education sectors.
