York's leading public relations consultancy has joined the PR elite. The Partners Group has become one of only 120 firms in the UK to pass a stringent independent quality assessment as a membership requirement of the Public Relations Consultancy Association (PRCA). The PRCA is driving up standards in the industry, committing members to a code of conduct and professional charter, as well as the assessment against the Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) guaranteeing clients a professional, high quality service. There are over 2,000 public relations firms in the UK. Only 120 hold the PRCA Consultancy Management Standard, which is independently assessed by international certification body DNV. Hugh Venables, managing director of the Partners Group says, "It provides confirmation that local businesses do not need to go to London or even Leeds for a quality PR agency. We pride ourselves in providing clients with an excellent level of service and professional advice. However, membership of the PRCA includes an independent assessment of our business and the way we operate, which means that businesses that use our services can be confident they are of the highest standard." The Partners Group was formed in 1988 and employs 15 people. It specialises in the provision of fully integrated marketing communications programmes and design services to organisations in a variety of sectors including construction, property, housing, manufacturing, education and professional services. The PRCA represents the consultancy sector to government and regulatory bodies and is a founder member of the Communications Agencies Federation (CAF), as well as a member of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO). |
