Partners Leisure Ltd, part of York based marketing communications consultancy The Partners Group, has been appointed by Macdonald Hotels & Resorts Limited to manage the PR for its six hotels in Yorkshire, the North East and the Lake District.

The appointment is part of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts' plans to create a stronger brand identity in the marketplace, which will reflect its increased focus on four- star properties.

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts Limited is one of the UK's most successful hotel groups. Operating over 60 hotels and resorts throughout the UK, it controls a business with an annual turnover in the region of over £250 million.

The Partners Group's dedicated leisure marketing arm, Partners Leisure Ltd, is managing the campaign. Speaking about the appointment Partners Leisure managing director David Leon said, "It is an honour to be working with some of the most prestigious and best loved hotels in the North. Each Macdonald hotel is well respected and well known in its own right. Our job is to ensure that potential customers are aware of how Macdonald Hotels is bringing together each hotel's reputation for quality and standards under a unifying brand."
