York-based marketing communications and design agency The Partners Group has appointed Alan Markham as account manager to service its growing portfolio of business-to-business and consumer clients.

With more than six years experience in the PR industry, Alan's strong background in trade and technical PR has enabled him to step-in readily to handle the marketing requirements of several major clients in the construction and manufacturing industries.

Alan joins Partners after three years with a major East Midlands-based advertising agency where he headed a small team providing PR support to national and local organisations. Within the Partners 15-strong team, he will be responsible for maintaining a regular media presence for three companies in the doors and windows industry, a manufacturer of products for the food industry and a major national housebuilder.

"It's great to be part of the Partners team," says Alan. "It's an exciting time for the company, we've had several big new account wins recently and we're currently undergoing an office refurbishment to make the most of the space we've got."

Alan's is the first in a series of new appointments at The Partners Group, York's largest independent marketing communications and design agency. The firm is currently recruiting to support recent growth and deliver services including media relations, advertising, design and event management to a range of local, national and international clients.
