A revolutionary new device is set to help thousands of elderly and disabled people for whom the simple task of opening and closing their front door has become a struggle. And a new recruit at a York PR firm will be playing a 'key' role in publicising the product throughout the UK. 24-year-old Gemma Rutherford has joined The Partners Group as an account executive to work on a campaign to promote the new 'Rotakey', as well as a range of other accounts in the professional services, housebuilding and manufacturing sectors. The innovative Rotakey works by guiding a door key into the lock quickly and easily. The device then grips the key securely, allowing elderly and disabled people to turn the key more easily using the specially designed handle. Rotakey, which is based in County Durham, appointed Partners to handle national publicity for the new product based on the company's experience in the building, construction and local authority markets. In addition to the Rotakey campaign, Partners has started the New Year with a series of new contract wins. The company has been appointed to publicise the work of York-based architects DWA and Jenx, a Doncaster firm that manufactures positioning equipment for children and young people with disabilities. Says Gemma, "I'm really enjoying the varied range of work at Partners. One minute I'm helping to design the Rotakey brochure and adverts and the next I'm at a photo shoot up to my knees in mud on a building site. It's great!" The Partners Group was established in York in 1988 and its 17-strong team currently provides PR, marketing and graphic design services for a growing portfolio of clients in the public and private sectors. The firm is also the sole UK representative of IPRTeam, a network of global PR consultants established to help small to medium sized businesses publicise their products and services in global markets. |
