The management team at York's largest PR and design agency, which is this year celebrating its 20th anniversary, has completed a management buy-out. Company directors Jayne Davies, Monica Green and Karen Nixon, who have been part of the management team for the past four years, take over running the business from company founder Hugh Venables. Hugh will provide a consultancy service and will continue to work with his existing clients. Jayne Davies, who joined the company when it was formed in 1988, said: "The company has changed quite a bit in 20 years - we've grown into a £2 million business with a team of 18 people, broadened our services significantly and we've got a few more clients these days. However, we're incredibly proud of the fact that the clients who started out with us 20 years ago are still with us today. We have a great team in place and our ambition is to continue to work with those businesses that value our input and creativity." Jayne leads the support team and is responsible for the company's operations including personnel, IT and financial management. Monica has almost 15 years' PR experience and is responsible for marketing and business development. Karen heads up some of the company's biggest accounts and has been in the industry for 10 years. Said Hugh: "After 20 years at the helm I wanted to step back from managing the business and focus my time on client handling - and perhaps even find time for a couple of holidays. "Jayne, Monica and Karen have strong business skills and client servicing experience. They have been an essential part of the management team in recent years and I am confident that the business will continue to thrive under their leadership." |
