york marketing agency supports cancer charity

A donation from York’s largest PR and design agency The Partners Group is helping cancer research, support and education in the city.

The £500 donation to York Against Cancer by The Partners Group is part of the company’s 21-year tradition of supporting a charity instead of buying Christmas gifts for clients. 

The firm chose to support York Against Cancer this year because the disease has affected members of its team’s families and friends.

Julie Barnie, general manager of York Against Cancer said: “We are a small local charity and it is wonderful to receive the support of local businesses such as The Partners Group.  About one in three people will be affected by cancer at some stage in their lives and this donation will fund facilities and services that will directly benefit local people affected by the disease.”

Over the last two decades, Partners has supported many local charities including the Stroke Association, York Nightstop, the MS Society York and District branch, York Womens Aid refuge, Woodlands Resource and Respite Care Centre, Lidgett Grove School and food parcels for the homeless in the city.

The Partners Group specialises in creative marketing communications work across a range of sectors, working with a client base that spans the whole of the UK.  The firm can also provide international publicity support through its membership of the IPRTeam international PR network.
