Raising standards in the PR industry is the remit of Partners Group director Monica Green, who has been appointed Yorkshire and Humberside regional chair of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA). The Partners Group, an independent PR agency based in York, has been a member of the industry body since 2003 and has recently achieved outstanding results in its Consultancy Management Standard assessment - the gold standard of service for the PR industry. The Partners Group is one of only six companies in Yorkshire and Humberside and only about 140 of the UK’s 2,000+ PR consultancies to have passed the independent audit that allows membership of the PRCA. In her new role as regional chair Monica’s remit will be to encourage more PR agencies and in-house teams to undertake the assessment and continue to raise the standards of the PR industry in the region. She said: “The PRCA exists to raise standards in PR and all members are bound by a Professional Charter and a Code of Conduct. As part of its commitment to excellence in PR the industry body provides training and qualifications, shares best practice, lobbies Government on key issues, conducts surveys and provides a free service to help businesses find a reputable PR consultancy. “There is a strong PR community in Yorkshire and Humberside and it would be fantastic to see more agencies join the PRCA, pass the independent audit and give clients the reassurance that their agency adheres to strict quality standards in management, communication and service delivery. “We will be holding a number of events throughout the year for PR agencies and clients to learn more about the benefits of membership of the PRCA and I’m looking forward to shaping the training and networking workshops that will help PR agencies stay at the top of their game.” |
