JM Glendinning was established in 1972 as a local family run insurance broker in Guiseley. Today, the Group has built its reputation as one of the UK’s leading commercial lines brokers through its high-quality team. Following a management buyout in November 2020 led by Group CEO Nick Houghton and backed by SYNOVA, the group is now a £100m premium income group, with ambitious growth plans built on supplementing strong organic growth with a series of complementary strategic acquisitions.
 
The group's success is founded on finding the best people and building the business around them, which makes attracting and retaining staff critical to its growth strategy. Our appointment in 2015 coincided with the firm’s accelerating growth plans, and our brief remains to raise its profile within the region it operates to help the business attract great people.
