We're looking forward to being part of an innovative hybrid exhibition in 2022, which is set to welcome thousands of visitors to a 3D virtual environment.

Supporting the manufacturing sector, the Backing Britain expo takes place in April 2022 with the online arena remaining open to visitors for the year after the event takes place. The exhibition will also see three in-person events connecting 300+ manufacturers, with talks from industry leaders and celebrity guests.

Organisers the Made in Group say the aim of the expo is to connect hundreds of manufacturers across the region in an immersive, interactive, and environmentally friendly way. “Over the last 18 months, businesses have had to propel themselves into the digital age, whether it be working from home or diversifying their business processes. Digital is here to stay and forward-thinking manufacturers are getting up to speed now, so they’re not left behind,” says CEO Jason Pitt.

Partners director Karen Tinkler says, “As well as digitising business processes, we are seeing more and more manufacturers embracing digital marketing and communication. From exploring new ways of using it to keep dispersed workforces engaged to building their brand externally to help attract new customers and much-needed employees, digital communication has a big part to play in the future of manufacturing.

“We’re looking forward to being part of the expo in the spring and supporting manufacturing businesses on their digital journey.”
Partners is a patron of Made in Yorkshire, a trade association championing British manufacturing through networking opportunities, online exposure, topical discussions with industry leaders, and supporting recruitment in manufacturing to help close the current skills gap. The Partners team has been supporting manufacturing businesses with PR and communications since the agency was founded in 1988.

Backing Britain 3.0 is a virtual exhibition where delegates will be able to visit interactive stands online - viewing company information, chatting live to exhibitors, and immersing themselves in 3D virtual factory tours. Virtual reality headsets will give visitors an opportunity to experience exhibitors’ products and facilities as though they were right in front of them.

Sharing our B2B marketing knowledge with international audiences

Partners’ senior account executive Joe Richardson (right) gave an overview of the UK B2B media landscape and shared advice on the tools and support materials needed to start building a presence for a new brand in the UK.

Organiser Karolina Janik, founder of Personal PR and Marketing, said, “Over 70 people joined the webinar, and we had lots of questions and interaction, which says to me that there is an appetite for knowledge around export and building profile overseas. It was fantastic to bring our iPR Team network partners together for this event and I am sure we will collaborate again on similar events in the future.”
