Women take centre stage in property sector

Women represent only 15% of the property and construction sector workforce. The Association of Women in Property aims to redress this balance by heightening the profile of female role models, offering mentoring and networking, and nurturing the next generation of new talent.

Partners Group Director Monica Green (pictured second right) has been appointed vice-chair of the Yorkshire and North East branch with PR and communication as part of her role.

She said, “Women in Property is a networking and professional development organisation, now in its 27th year supporting women working in the property and construction disciplines.  This starts with school visits when our members encourage girls to consider a career in the industry, includes our links with universities and our highly acclaimed National Student Award programme and continues to work for women at every level in their working life.

“Members have the benefit of professional and social networking events, WiP’s successful mentoring programme, nominations for awards and, as they become more senior, guidance in securing boardroom roles.”

The next event is a networking masterclass on 6th March in Leeds.
